ABOUT OUR PILATES FOR ATHLETES CLASS

Serving the Greater San Diego County Including Del Mar, Poway, Fairbanks Ranch, Ramona & Beyond

Pilates for Athletes at SALTVAULT of Del Mar is designed for active individuals who want to improve performance, reduce injury risk, and support recovery through controlled, intentional movement. Our classes complement sport-specific training by addressing flexibility, balance, and stabilizing strength.

Props such as resistance bands, light weights, Pilates balls, and the magic circle may be used to increase challenge and target specific muscle groups. Instructors provide clear cues and options so athletes can adjust intensity based on their current training phase.

The Process

Class begins with a warm-up designed to activate the core and prepare the body for movement in a heated environment. Sequences then progress through exercises targeting stability, hip mobility, spinal alignment, and full-body coordination.

Class concludes with controlled stretching and recovery-focused movement to support flexibility and help the body transition after intense physical effort.

Improve Relaxation & Circulation

Infrared heat supports circulation and muscle recovery, helping athletes reduce stiffness and maintain mobility between training sessions. Many athletes notice improved flexibility and less post-workout tension after incorporating heated Pilates into their routine.

Controlled breathing throughout class helps calm the nervous system and encourages physical and mental recovery, making each session a productive addition to an overall training plan.
