QUESTIONS?
What to Expect
Prenatal Pilates at SALTVAULT of Del Mar offers expecting mothers a supportive space for gentle, intentional movement during pregnancy. Each session focuses on breath, posture, and core awareness, with modifications guided by your instructor and your own comfort level.
We ask all guests to receive clearance from their physician or midwife before joining, and to keep an open line of communication with their provider throughout. This class works alongside your prenatal care, not in place of it.
Infrared
SALTVAULT classes take place in a climate-controlled studio, and instructors work directly with prenatal guests to manage comfort throughout each session. Because every pregnancy is different, we encourage guests to discuss the studio environment with their physician beforehand.
During class, instructors check in regularly and encourage guests to listen closely to their bodies, take breaks as needed, and communicate any discomfort right away. Comfort and safety always come first.
Hot Pilates
Prenatal Pilates draws on the same mat-based principles used throughout SALTVAULT, adapted for pregnancy. Sessions emphasize pelvic floor awareness, gentle core engagement, posture support, and controlled, low-impact movement.
Instructors offer modifications for each trimester and encourage guests to move at their own pace. Class adapts to how you are feeling, with guidance from your instructor every step of the way.
Musically-driven
Music remains part of the experience in Prenatal Pilates, though the playlists are softer and the pacing more measured than our other classes. Music helps create a calm, focused atmosphere supporting steady breathing and mindful movement.
Rather than driving intensity, the rhythm in this class supports relaxation, helping guests stay present and connected to their body and breath.
ABOUT OUR PRENATAL PILAGES CLASS
Serving the Greater San Diego County Including Del Mar, Poway, Fairbanks Ranch, Ramona & Beyond
Prenatal Pilates at SALTVAULT of Del Mar is designed for expecting mothers who have received physician clearance for light to moderate exercise during pregnancy. Guests are welcome at any stage of pregnancy their provider deems appropriate.
Props such as light resistance bands and supportive cushions may be used to assist with comfort and alignment. Instructors provide individualized cues throughout class to help each guest move comfortably and avoid strain.
The Process
Each class begins with a brief check-in, giving guests a chance to share how they are feeling and flag any discomfort. From there, instructors guide a gentle warm-up followed by modified mat work focused on posture, breath, and core support.
Class closes with slow, supported stretching and a few minutes of rest, giving guests time to settle, breathe, and transition comfortably out of the session.
Improve Relaxation & Circulation
Many expecting mothers find that Prenatal Pilates supports circulation and eases the everyday tension that builds during pregnancy. Gentle movement and steady breathing may also help guests feel more grounded and connected to their bodies.
Our instructors emphasize breathwork, which many guests find supportive both during pregnancy and as they prepare for delivery.
