QUESTIONS?
What to Expect
ZEST at SALTVAULT of Pacific Beach is a non-heated, mat-based Pilates class focused on technique, control, and precision. This class emphasizes foundational Pilates principles, including alignment, breath awareness, and intentional movement.
Expect a steady, controlled pace designed to build strength and stability without heat. ZEST provides a supportive environment for guests who prefer a cooler studio while still benefiting from a structured, full-body Pilates workout.
Infrared
ZEST is not held in a heated studio. While the room does not use infrared heat, the class still incorporates deliberate movement and sequencing that support circulation and muscle engagement.
The absence of heat allows participants to focus closely on form, alignment, and muscular control without additional thermal intensity. This environment supports clarity of movement and precise execution.
Hot Pilates
ZEST is not a hot Pilates class. Instead, it offers a traditional mat Pilates experience without heat while maintaining the structure and quality expected at SALTVAULT.
Movements remain low-impact and joint-friendly, with an emphasis on controlled strength rather than endurance in the heat. This makes ZEST a strong option for guests who prefer a non-heated format or are transitioning into Pilates training.
Musically-driven
ZEST at SALTVAULT is musically driven, with playlists selected to support focus, rhythm, and flow. The music helps guide pacing while maintaining a calm, structured atmosphere.
Rather than driving intensity, the music in ZEST supports concentration and consistency, allowing participants to stay present with each movement and transition.
ABOUT OUR ZEST CLASS
Serving the Greater San Diego County Including Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, La Jolla, La Mesa & Beyond
ZEST is designed for guests who value technique, precision, and mindful movement. This class is well-suited for beginners, those returning to Pilates, or anyone seeking a non-heated option that still delivers meaningful strength and stability work.
Props such as resistance bands, light weights, or exercise balls may be used to support proper alignment and muscle engagement throughout class.
The Process
Each ZEST class begins with a focused warm-up to prepare the body for mat-based movement. Participants then move through a series of Pilates sequences that target the core, hips, glutes, arms, and stabilizing muscles.
Instructors provide clear cues and alignment guidance throughout class, emphasizing breath control and controlled transitions. The class concludes with stretching and mobility work to support balance and recovery.
Improve Relaxation & Circulation
The controlled pacing and intentional movement in ZEST help support circulation and muscular relaxation. Many participants experience reduced tension and improved mobility following class.
Without heat, the body can focus entirely on movement quality, supporting both mental clarity and physical comfort.
"I took the SAVOR class through ClassPass with Jamie and I really enjoyed how challenging it was. I sweat out everything, worked my muscles to exhaustion, and left feeling lighter and more limber."
